Context Art Miami and Art Miami have moved to a new location in Downtown Miami on the Biscayne Bay for Art Basel 2017. Context is the sister fair to Art Miami and will focus on emerging artists and artists that are stuck in the middle of their careers. OM This Way is Hip-Hop Yoga class that works with The Felix Organization and The Irie Foundation to comfort children in foster care through fundraising. Equinox will be hosting the class and afterwards, there will be performances by Darryl “DMC” McDaniels and Donald Webber Jr. of Hamilton. Attendees are encouraged to make a $75 donation, with 100% of the money going directly to The Felix Organization and The Irie Foundation. The Haitian Heritage Museum Exhibition will assert “cross border dialogues through vibrant artistic expressions from the Diaspora.” They will be featuring work from different Black Contemporary Artists that are currently pushing forward the culture and our societies. Jsport will be performing for a night of vogue at Catwalk Miami; a collaboration between Le Poisson Rogue and Morph Atlanta. This year NADA is changing locations from the Deauville Beach Resort to Downtown Miami’s Ice Palace Studios. Over 100 exhibitors from 16 countries will in attendance from December 7 to 10. Brought to you by Las Rosas, Sus Zine will be showcasing their first issue along with live performances from Big Baby Scumbag, Lil Splash, Bleau, Lucid, and DJ Iron Beats. The first issue of Sus Zine will feature everyone from film legends like Harmony Korine to icons like The Based God Lil B. Pantone and Bulleit Frontier Whiskey collide with Saatchi Art, to debut the “first-ever neon art collection.” Harley Viera-Newton will DJ and there’s sure to be a ton of whiskey to wet your whistle. The event will take place on December 7 at Eden Roc Miami Beach (4525 collins ave).
